Overview

This is a full-time experienced Maintenance Mechanic position responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps. Maintenance Mechanics troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical systems, read schematics, and use electrical testing equipment (Volt-Ohm meter, amp meter, oscilloscope). They have extensive understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers and contribute to preventative maintenance systems and work order tracking. They may work on any equipment within the facility and operate lathes, mills, arc and Heliarc welders for repair and fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems and associated components
  • Repair control valves, pumps, and related mechanical/electrical equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical systems; read schematics and use electrical testing equipment
  • Apply understanding of PLCs and preventative maintenance systems; participate in work order tracking
  • Operate fabrication equipment (lathes, mills) and welding equipment as needed
  • Support entry-level mechanics with difficult repairs and work under pressure to restore equipment
  • Troubleshoot issues on a wide variety of equipment and inspect machines to develop repair lists
  • Follow task lists for diagnosing machines and taking corrective actions

About

If you have a background in electrical certification, maintenance manufacturing, technical school training, or welding experience, your contributions will be valued. A robust training program is available, with preference for candidates who have at least two years of mechanical/electrical repair experience in a manufacturing environment. A hands-on electrical skills test is part of the interview process prior to in-person interviews.

Requirements

  • Minimum: 18 years of age
  • willingness to work on weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in environments with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces
