What you’ll do

• The Delivery Merchandiser Trainee is a fast-paced role focused on learning daily duties of route delivery and merchandising in all disciplines, including stocking and facing products on shelves and displays, in coolers and cooling vaults.
• Provide route relief when needed and be prepared to take a permanent route assignment in any route delivery discipline.
• Learn to drive a Class A CDL vehicle and obtain required licensing within 10 weeks of training start date. Under supervision, service customers using equipment and processes such as invoicing on a handheld device; perform end-of-shift accounting for cash and paperwork; properly secure company assets and inventory; safely handle products at customer locations.
• Develop merchandising habits to meet customer and company standards and understand how to execute commercial plans in customer outlets.
• Develop good rotation practices and build healthy product displays, product facing, brand order, and proper backroom management.
• Develop customer service skills by working with customers and communicating issues to the appropriate manager.
• Adhere to safety standards, learn Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules regarding DOT and Hours of Service, and promote safe work practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license for your state of residency; excellent driving history to be reviewed
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (Class A CDL); not required for hire
• Ability to pass and maintain DOT physical requirements
