Overview

Warehouse Manager responsibilities are to ensure the seamless flow of raw materials and finished goods, from receiving to dispatch; and will manage the staging for production effectively to prevent costly production bottlenecks, minimize delays, and maintain consistent manufacturing output, directly impacting customer satisfaction and delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Operational and People Efficiency: optimize warehouse layout, staffing levels, and technology integration for productivity; redesign and reconfigure warehouse and scrap yard space for maximum storage capacity and workflow efficiency; utilize integrated inventory management software; follow SOPs for inspecting incoming material and outgoing finished goods; improve order accuracy and dispatch processes; analyze performance metrics for continuous improvement; measure and report on warehousing activities and employee performance; ensure adherence to processes; manage and develop warehouse personnel; communicate job expectations, schedules, and daily tasks; monitor attendance, timeliness, and breaks; approve timesheets; ensure training for new hires and existing employees; work with other departments as a leader; support and assist warehouse team; identify areas for improvement and establish innovative or revised procedures.
  • Inventory Accuracy & Control: maintain precise inventory records through continuous monitoring and tracking systems; reduce errors and prevent stockouts or overstocking; conduct regular cycle counts and annual inventories; use inventory management system for real-time tracking and reporting; identify root causes of discrepancies and implement lasting solutions; ensure shipments and inventory transactions are accurate; perform monthly physical inventory audits; maintain item records and reports to project warehouse status; improve raw material and finished goods visibility to related departments; perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Safety & Compliance Management: uphold safety protocols and OSHA and industry regulations; conduct department safety trainings; ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials; investigate incidents and implement corrective actions; oversee routine equipment maintenance and forklift safety checks.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree and relevant experience in related field preferred
  • 5 years of related managerial experience in a warehouse required
  • Experience in a manufacturing warehouse preferred
  • Experience in a foundry a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create and present ideas, reports, and budgets in various formats
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to assign and delegate tasks
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • ERP system knowledge a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
