Overview
Receptionist role at Priority Dispatch Corporation. This role is based in downtown Salt Lake City, UT, and will be working onsite in our office. We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional receptionist to provide front desk support, handle a multi-line phone system, assist visitors, and provide general administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Phone & Communication Management: Answer and direct incoming calls using a multi-line phone system; take accurate messages and ensure timely delivery; provide basic information to callers regarding company services, hours, and location
- Front Desk & Visitor Support: Greet and assist visitors, clients, and vendors; maintain a clean and organized front desk area; receive and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries; manage visitor logs and issue visitor badges as required; coordinate with internal staff to ensure smooth check-in procedures
- Workplace Safety & Security: Cooperate with management on safety procedures, participate in drills, monitor security feeds, and promptly report concerns
- Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks and handle ongoing mail/package distribution
- Customer Service & Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality, handle inquiries, resolve minor issues or escalate as appropriate, and support a positive, inclusive company culture
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role, especially with phone systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Professional appearance and demeanor; ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
- Familiarity with scheduling software or CRM tools
- Knowledge of basic office safety and emergency procedures
Physical Requirements
- Direct calls, messages, mail, and packages to intended receivers
- Provide accurate information to visitors and guests
- Assist with errands as needed
- Clear communication and coordination with internal teams
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- In-person, phone, and virtual communication
- Occasionally lift and carry 25–30 pounds
