Cybersecurity Insurance Broker

The Cybersecurity Insurance Broker will be responsible for assessing the organization’s cyber risk, sourcing and securing the best-fit cyber insurance policies, providing advisory services on coverage options, and guiding the agency through claims and renewals. The broker will serve as a strategic advisor for all matters relating to cyber insurance and work closely with both internal stakeholders and external carriers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct cyber risk assessments to identify organizational exposures and recommend tailored insurance solutions.
  • Prepare and manage insurance applications, submissions, and solicit competitive quotes from multiple qualified insurance carriers.
  • Compare policy terms, pricing, limits, sub limits, exclusions, endorsements, and prepare comprehensive proposal comparisons and recommendations.
  • Negotiate final policy terms, oversee binding and placement, review policy binders, and ensure all coverage documents are accurate and complete.
  • Act as the main point of contact and support for claims, guiding the agency through the claims process—including documentation, insurer communication, and settlement negotiations.
  • Advise on ongoing changes in cyber insurance markets, regulatory changes, and emerging cyber threats, providing benchmarking and annual coverage reviews.
  • Deliver all required documentation and reporting—including coverage analysis, annual policy reviews, benchmarking reports, and claims support memos.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ documented experience in brokering cyber insurance policies of comparable scope.
  • Active State Insurance Producer License (Texas Department of Insurance).
  • At least one professional certification (CIC, CRM, CPCU, NAS, CISSP, ARM, or PLUS) among team members proposed for this role.
  • Demonstrated experience with policy placement, claims advocacy, and cyber risk consulting.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and client advisory skills.
  • Understanding of the current cybersecurity risk landscape and regulatory requirements.
