Dockworker/Forklift Operator 2nd Shift is a position within The Law Family Companies and BSP Trans, Inc. offering full-time hours and a shift from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM, with compensation at $21 per hour.
Full Time – Mon thru Fri – 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM.
BSP Trans, Inc. has a six-terminal network across its coverage area to ensure swift deliveries for customers.
What You Will Do On a Typical Shift
- Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight
- Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand
- Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
- Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies
- Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods of time and may be slippery
- Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 70 lbs. occasionally)
- Be able to do math with and without a calculator
What you need at a minimum to succeed
- Strong work ethic, with the ability to work in a high paced team-oriented environment with great communication skills
- To be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a successful completion of a county level background check during onboarding
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
- Dock/warehouse experience in the transportation industry
- Forklift experience in a freight/less-than-truckload environment
- Experience loading and unloading trailers
- Desire to succeed with a strong attention to detail
