Overview

Job Title: RN: Corrections — American Medical Staffing (AMS). Location: Haynesville, Virginia. Setting: State Prison. Contract length: 13 to 26 weeks. Pay range: $1,414 to $1,768 weekly. Schedule: Days, 36 hours per week, every other weekend, holidays as needed. Candidate type: Local and traveler friendly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and deliver acute and chronic care services within the scope of a Registered Nurse (RN) in a correctional setting.
• Manage medication administration, triage, and emergency response procedures in alignment with correctional healthcare standards.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to accurately document patient care, treatment plans, and follow-up in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a secure, structured environment, providing care that matters.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1–3 years of experience in a correctional setting.
• Valid Registered Nurse license.
• Be willing to obtain Virginia licensure.
