PATIENT INFORMATION

• Patient Demographics: Adults
• Patient Volume/Census: 1215 patients/day (varies by patient mix)
• Admissions: No (Outpatient only)
• Rounding: Not Included
• Phone Consults: TBD
• Case Mix: 80% Oncology / 20% Hematology
• Hematology Scope: Includes benign and malignant cases

FACILITY INFORMATION

• EMR System: Epic
• Office Equipment Available: TBD
• Specialty Backup Available: Interventional Radiology (handles most bone marrow procedures)
• Support Staff Available: 1 MD, 1 NP, additional nursing staff
• Reason for Coverage: Vacancy (until full-time hire)

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Temporary Privileges Available: No
• Credentialing Timeline: 120 days
• Compliance

Requirements: Immunization record, flu vaccine or declination, negative TB or QuantiFERON Gold test within 1 year of start

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Bone marrow procedures is a plus (most handled by IR)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active NY license (required)
• Board: Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology (required)
• Certifications: Flu vaccine or declination, negative TB/QuantiFERON Gold test within 1 year
• Experience: Outpatient Hematology/Oncology practice experience preferred
• Other Qualifications: Immunization record required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care for adults
• Manage patient caseload of 1215 patients/day
• Collaborate with onsite NP, nursing staff, and physician team
• Document encounters accurately in Epic EMR
• Perform or coordinate bone marrow procedures as appropriate
