The Ansible SaaS product offering is a fully managed version of the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, designed to simplify IT automation and management. It allows customers to automate tasks and orchestrate workflows across various environments.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in pipeline development and test automation, with a strong focus on ensuring the quality and stability of our software as a service (SaaS) offerings. This role requires a hands-on approach to creating and maintaining robust delivery pipelines and a collaborative spirit for working with various teams.

As a Software Engineer on the Ansible SaaS team, you will be working across geos with technical team members to analyze, design, develop, debug, and deliver new products and feature functionality for the Ansible offerings. You will get an opportunity to collaborate with diverse agile teams to deliver value for our customers and partners in an open source way. Applicants within the U.S. Eastern Time Zone are preferred.

What You Will Do

  • Drive the development and maintenance of delivery pipelines and act as a subject matter expert for build and deployment processes.
  • Expand product delivery capabilities through automation and complex system integrations.
  • Work closely with development, product, and quality engineering teams to communicate testing concerns and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Implement methods to increase test coverage for various features and assist in debugging complex issues.
  • Learn the architectural concepts that are key to the development of our product.
  • Contribute to all aspects of product delivery, including design/architecture, development, testing, documentation, and deployment.

What You Will Bring

  • 2+ years of experience with DevOps (GitOps) infrastructures
  • 2+ years of experience with Python and pytest (or similar testing frameworks)
  • 2+ years of experience with Jenkins CI
  • 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes
  • Top-notch problem solving and debugging skills
  • Willingness to communicate across multiple teams
  • Experience with cloud, preferably Amazon AWS

The Following Are Considered a Plus

  • Familiarity with the Agile framework
  • Experience with test-base development
  • Familiarity with Ansible

Pay Transparency
Salary range for this position is $94,550.00 - $151,170.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. For Remote-US locations, salary may differ by location but will be commensurate with job duties and experience.
