Overview
Colliflower, Inc. is a customer-focused distributor of quality fluid connectors. We have been delivering Parker Hannifin hoses and fittings since 1951. We fabricate and sell a wide variety of fluid connector products including hydraulic & pneumatic hoses, metric, tube, & brass fittings, quick couplings, adapters, and accessories. We currently have an opening in our Baltimore, MD location. The work hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm or 8:30am - 5:30pm. Our warehouses are climate controlled all year around.
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for all functions required to support supply chain activities in a Colliflower Warehouse or Hub location. Functions include but are not limited to receiving, storage, handling, shipping, and preparing of product for delivery. Colliflower’s Warehouse Associates are self-directed, self-motivated, customer service-oriented individuals driven to maintain Colliflower’s warehouse/hub locations in a safe and orderly fashion by providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Processes requests by pulling orders from printer/document bin, determines items to be gathered, and accurately pulls product from storage
- Identifies and locates hose product; measure and safely cut to designated length
- Follows quality control procedures to verify and check all orders picked against customer invoices prior to shipping
- Prepares and expedites shipments – assemble & pack product, affix shipping labels, and prepare all shipping documents
- Stages finished product order for shipping, delivery, or customer pickup
- Runs customer’s payment for order as needed
- Assists with receiving products, unloading trucks, and stocking product in appropriate place
- Reconciles and records incoming product per standard and provides documents to Accounting
- Counts physical inventory as needed or directed; ensures inventory records reflect physical inventory and notifies discrepancies
- Provides exceptional service and assists in all areas of the store as needed
- Responds to customer needs and resolves them efficiently
- Produces high quality fitting & hose assemblies
- Organizes and cleans warehouse/hub and work areas; maintains a clean, safe, accessible, and organized environment
- Assists with van routes by packing products and delivering to/from store locations
- Safely drives to all store locations/customer sites and follows rules of the road
- Ensures daily/regular maintenance of the van is kept up and completed
- Reports safety concerns or issues with vehicle to supervisor immediately
- Communicates professionally and efficiently with other departments to better serve customers
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum of 3+ years warehouse experience required
- Related industry experience preferred
- Reliable transportation to commute to the Baltimore location
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Attention to detail; ability to identify product by size, type, style, or code
- Solid reading skills; ability to read and interpret manuals, purchase orders, and procedures
- Basic math skills and ability to learn metrics
- Good oral & written communication skills
- Ability to understand and execute instructions in written, oral or diagram form
- Proficient computer skills and data entry experience
- Mechanical aptitude
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, carry, push & pull up to 150 lbs
- Stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
- Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull and climb
- Manual dexterity for operating machinery
Work Environment
- Shop/warehouse environment with occasional outdoor exposure
- Routinely uses standard office equipment
- Exposure to elements but not to an extent of being disagreeable (noise, temperature fluctuations)
- May work at different workstations as production and shipping needs require
