Overview

Electrician role at Crown Holdings, Inc. located in Nichols, NY. This is a night shift position (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) on a 2/2/3 schedule (two days on, two days off, three days on; then rotating the following week). This is a 12-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, program, replace, maintain, and install electrical/electronic systems for production equipment and building utilities in a high-speed metal packaging facility.
• Support equipment such as body makers, printers, washers, and other packaging machinery; follow all local, state, and federal electrical codes.
• Document problems and maintenance of equipment and facility systems.
• Provide training for equipment operation and safety precautions; install and maintain electrical wiring within the facility.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent with 4+ years of manufacturing experience (high-speed manufacturing preferred).
• Associates/technical degree or related vocational/technical certification (state electrical license, journeyman license, etc.) preferred.
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley/Omron/Direct Logic PLCs and Windows software; able to analyze AC/DC, single-phase and 3-phase generators and motors, relays, switches, breakers, transformers, and power panels.
• Knowledge of single and 3-phase up to 440 volts.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and parts specifications.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
