Overview

We are looking for a Full-Time Barista. Must have open availability to work morning shift from 6:30 am - 11:30 am and 11:30 am - 4:00 pm.

Role: Barista at Reckon, Hotel Forty Five (Mainsail Lodging & Development). Provide warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service while preparing and serving coffee, tea, and specialty beverages. Ensure a personalized and memorable guest experience with high standards of cleanliness, consistency, and presentation.

What You Have

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience as a barista, café attendant, or in a guest-facing food & beverage role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee, espresso, and specialty beverage preparation is a plus.
  • Prior experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills with a positive, approachable attitude.
  • Cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) system experience preferred.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty drinks according to established recipes and guest preferences.
  • Provide friendly, welcoming, and engaging service while taking guest orders and answering menu questions.
  • Accurately handle guest transactions, including cash, credit, and room charges.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including coffee machines, counters, and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory of coffee, milk, syrups, and other supplies, notifying leadership when restock is needed.
  • Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
  • Assist with stocking, rotating, and maintaining par levels of supplies.
  • Support overall Food & Beverage operations when needed, ensuring seamless guest experiences.
  • Uphold Hotel Forty Five and Mainsail Lodging service standards with professionalism and hospitality.
