Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Selma, AL. The SLP will provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals of all ages experiencing communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients lives across diverse clinical settings.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient s unique goals and needs.

  • Deliver skilled therapy services, including articulation therapy, language intervention, fluency treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, and dysphagia management.

  • Monitor and document patient progress, updating treatment plans as needed to reflect ongoing improvements or changes in condition.

  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective strategies to enhance communication and support safe swallowing.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and educators to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care.

  • Maintain compliance with ethical, legal, and facility standards related to patient care, documentation, and safety.


Qualifications:
  • Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) .

  • Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Alabama . (Note: The original mentioned Florida, but the role is in Selma, AL this has been corrected.)

  • Current CPR certification (preferred).

  • Previous clinical experience, especially with pediatric or geriatric populations, preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
