About the team / role

We are seeking a sharp Senior Data Analyst to join our Data & ML team, supporting Finance. This role drives Checkr’s financial strategy and operational efficiency. You will be the go-to expert for building reliable data models and systems, performing rigorous analyses, and delivering data-driven recommendations that guide financial planning and business performance evaluation. By translating complex data into clear insights, you will impact Checkr's profitability and long-term financial health.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will partner with leaders in Strategic Finance, Accounting, Product, RevOps, and Engineering to tackle complex business problems. You will own core revenue and cost data models / reporting, drive pricing and pricing / package analysis, and bring quantitative rigor to our most important financial decisions (e.g. planning, deals, large renewals).

What You’ll Do

Financial Reporting & Analysis: Develop and maintain core financial data models / reporting to track revenue, costs, and key business metrics; this supports FP&A processes and executive decision-making.

Business Performance Insights: Conduct deep-dive analyses into business trends, unit economics, and pricing strategies to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.

Data Modeling & Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain data models and pipelines in our business intelligence stack to ensure accurate and timely data for financial analysis.

Data-Driven Strategy: Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Finance leadership to inform business strategy, product pricing, and operational investments with robust data insights.

Operationalize Analytics: Build and automate reporting that provides continuous insights to the business, empowering stakeholders with self-serve data.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience

5+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, data science, revenue analytics, or related quantitative roles, preferably in finance, fintech, and/or SaaS

Strong command of SQL and a modern data stack (e.g. dbt)

Foundation in statistical analysis and data modeling techniques

Proven ability to translate complex business questions into well-defined analytical projects and deliver actionable insights

Rigorous communication and stakeholder management skills; able to explain quantitative concepts to non-technical audiences

Meticulous, detail-oriented mindset with a passion for solving ambiguous problems

Note on Hybrid Work
