Location: Chicagoland Area Flexible Hybrid Work Environment in Greater Chicago Area. Crain’s Chicago 10th largest firm (2022) Accounting Today’s 55th largest firm in the US, 10th in the Great Lakes region (2023) Large Firm opportunities with a top-tier client base, Small Firm culture Mentorship and support from partners with opportunities for career advancement Work on multiple engagements across industries (Manufacturing, Distribution, Real Estate, Construction, Tech, Start-Ups, and more) Tax work specifics: first year seniors 70% review and 30% preparation; experienced seniors 100% review of tax returns for Partnerships (1065), S and C-corps (1120), Individuals (1040), and others as assigned Handle routine client tax questions, research tax issues, and gather information for tax return completion and compliance Assist in tax field exams and tax notice resolutions Identify opportunities to expand services to clients and communicate to senior management Assist with training and developing staff and interns Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting Eligible to sit (with 150 credit hours) or working towards CPA 2+ years of experience in public accounting at a mid-market firm This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team as part of a firm that invests in the personal and professional development of its staff.
