Anduril Industries is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the development of critical vehicle subsystems including Motion Control and Battery Management System solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with analog and digital electronics, PCB design, and embedded applications, and the ability to lead a team of electrical engineers to deliver hardware solutions that support Anduril’s robotic systems. This role will own both rapid prototype development and scaling of production designs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead an avionics program from concept through production, including development of core avionics systems for an air vehicle and supporting systems.

Create, maintain and communicate product development schedules with detail to ensure assigned personnel are aware of tasks and deadlines.

Work on flight architecture and design for high reliability, resiliency, redundancy and fault tolerance; define product requirements, develop specifications for critical avionics modules, and write/execute design verification test plans.

Verify avionics system test coverage on flight or flight-representative hardware at the system level and validate product performance.

Understand hardware evaluation methodologies, including test case development, performance monitoring, test automation, and data analysis.

Full cycle PCB and LRU design, including requirements collection, schematic design, component selection, layout supervision, bring-up, testing, debugging and integration with the system.

Develop system interconnect diagrams and define cables and wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment within the vehicle.

Manage fabrication, assembly and BOMs with PCB, cable, connector, and component vendors.

Familiarity with aircraft avionics module vendors and component suppliers from UAV programs.

Experience in electrical integration of avionics modules and payloads into UAV systems.

Support software and firmware teams with an understanding of flight controls, sensing, payload integration, power management, and networking.

Represent the avionics system in vehicle-level cross-disciplinary trade-off studies to optimize flight architecture and implementation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

7+ years of experience designing, testing and troubleshooting complex board designs in military, automotive or similar hardware

Understanding of relevant avionics design standards for UAVs

Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current probes) and test automation

Experience in design for signal integrity / power integrity

Familiarity with interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB

Familiarity with MCU/CPU/FPGA devices and technologies

Knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and circuits

Proficiency with Altium Designer or equivalent EDA tool

Knowledgeable in Python and C/C++

Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Understanding and familiarity with DO-254, DO-178C, DO-160, DO-311A

Understanding and familiarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS US Salary Range: $189,000 - $251,000 USD

The salary range is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors. Actual salary offers may vary based on experience, education, and business considerations. Anduril provides equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package.
