Unit:
Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry (Med/Surg Unit)
Shift:
12-hour rotating shifts (primarily nights, some days possible)
Hours per Week:
36
Weekend Requirement:
Every other weekend

Estimated Weekly Pay:
$1840–$1980 per week
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Telemetry RN or Stepdown Registered Nurse
Skilled in cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and post-surgical patient care
Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations in a clinical setting
Active Illinois RN license (required at time of application)
BLS/CPR certification (AHA required)
Fully COVID-19 vaccinated (required for healthcare jobs in Illinois)
NIHSS and ACLS certifications preferred
Current Illinois Nurse Agency Certificate (must be submitted with application)
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
Deliver and coordinate patient care in the Cardiac Stepdown/Telemetry unit
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Administer and titrate cardiac drips as per physician orders
Provide post-surgical care, ensuring safe recovery and monitoring for complications
Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs, SNAs, and other healthcare professionals
Maintain high standards of professional nursing practice and patient safety
Accurately document all aspects of patient care in a timely manner
