Pax Recruiting
Location:
Austin, TX (Hybrid — in-person 3+ days/week) Experience Level:
Mid-Level (3–8 years) About the Role A digital marketing agency is seeking a sharp, analytical, and client-savvy Performance Marketing Manager to lead paid media efforts and act as a strategic advisor to our multifamily real estate clients. This is not your typical media buying role — you’ll run campaigns and optimize budgets, and you’ll also help shape marketing strategy, communicate technical insights to non-marketers, and influence how we build scalable systems internally. If you’re looking to do more than just buy ads — if you want to help build something — this is that opportunity. Why this role This is a performance marketing and analytics firm that helps multifamily communities drive better leasing results through smarter digital strategy. Our work blends hands-on paid media execution with data-backed strategic oversight — and we do it with a clear-eyed focus on client outcomes, not vanity metrics. We\'re small, sharp, and growing fast. If you want to be part of building the next phase of something meaningful — and you want to work with people who care deeply about doing great work — we\'d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Own all aspects of paid media strategy and execution across Google Ads and Meta Ads, with opportunities to test emerging channels (e.g., TikTok, Pinterest, Nextdoor).
Lead client communications across a portfolio of multifamily housing clients — from onboarding through reporting to advising on full-funnel strategy.
Translate complex digital marketing performance data into clear, actionable insights for clients with varying levels of marketing fluency.
Act as a thought partner to clients and internal stakeholders, weighing in on budget allocations, campaign priorities, and site-level needs (e.g., we need more leads in Phoenix this week).
Collaborate with analytics and product teams to ensure reporting tools surface the right data, in the right way — and suggest improvements.
Help formalize and improve client service playbooks, SOPs, and processes as we scale.
Support broader digital strategy efforts (e.g., website audits, SEO assessments, drip campaign recommendations) as part of our fractional CMO model.
Qualifications
3–8 years of experience in digital marketing, ideally in an agency setting.
Proven track record running paid campaigns in Google Ads or Meta Ads.
Strong communicator who can confidently own client relationships and lead conversations with stakeholders of all levels.
Deeply analytical — you care about what the data says, what actions it demands, and how to turn that into client results.
Process-oriented, organized, and hungry to help build repeatable systems and scalable client value.
Comfortable working in ambiguity and in a growing, fast-paced team where you\'ll wear multiple hats.
Based in Austin, TX, and available to work in-person at least 3 days per week.
Experience with additional paid platforms (TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Nextdoor, etc.).
Exposure to tools or platforms like Power BI, Google Analytics 4, BigQuery, Hubspot, Google Tag Manager, ChatGPT.
A desire to grow into a leadership or team-building role over time.
