Oversee and contribute to a multidisciplinary team of software engineers developing outstanding user experiences. Serve as an engineering leader and technical expert. Create plans and processes, and drive execution for the engineering team. Hire and mentor a world-class team, including coaching and career guidance. Advocate for code quality, new technologies, and architectural design. Lead projects from inception through implementation to ensure timely delivery and high quality. Support initiatives to improve engineering efficiency, quality, and happiness. Collaborate with product and delight teams to ship impactful features and products. Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years in engineering with 5+ years as a hands-on contributor and 3+ years leading teams. Technical Skills: Proficiency in backend technologies such as Go, Java/Scala, Ruby, Python, among others. AI Enthusiast: Belief in AI’s potential to transform work and customer experiences; use AI to enhance productivity and team impact. Leadership: Track record of building and developing high-performing, inclusive, mission-driven teams. Quality: Ability to produce high-impact, state-of-the-art work. Communication: Clear, concise communication across mediums and comfortable in a remote-first environment. Ownership: Take 100% responsibility for personal and company outcomes. Collaboration: Customer-focused, data-driven decision making with stakeholders. Bias to Action: Move quickly with thoughtful, decisive steps. Project Management: Systematic approach to planning and executing complex tasks. Inclusive Facilitator: Prioritize inclusion in leadership and collaboration. Location
Location: We are considering candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, with a remote-hybrid model. Compensation
We adopt a market-based compensation approach. Base pay may vary by location. For candidates based in San Francisco, CA, starting salaries range from $264,000 to $385,000. Equal Opportunity
