We are seeking a VP of Business Development for one of our clients to be based in Texas. Our client is one of the world’s leading industrial materials companies whose products are critical to the modern economy and carbon reduction. Their materials are essential to the low-carbon, electrified technologies that power modern life, which you will find in products from electric cars to wind turbines. As VP of Business Development, you will take the lead on shaping and executing the company’s commercial growth strategy. This is a high-impact, hands-on position reporting to the executive team, responsible for driving new market development, forging long-term customer partnerships, and leading strategic initiatives across demanding markets like automotive, aerospace, and clean energy. Key Responsibilities

Define and execute a unified business development strategy across multiple business units in collaboration with senior leadership Identify and pursue new market opportunities in high-value industrial and technology sectors Build and sustain long-term relationships with strategic customers, partners, and industry leaders Lead major contract negotiations, including long-term supply agreements Translate customer and market insights into actionable input for product innovation and go-to-market plans Oversee commercial data, CRM systems, and reporting to ensure accuracy, visibility, and contract compliance Conduct in-depth market and competitive analyses to inform business strategy and pricing models Partner with technical, financial, and operational teams to ensure seamless commercialization of new products Foster a collaborative, mission-driven culture that values accountability, innovation, and partnership The ideal candidate will have experience in high-tech manufacturing and a proven track record of managing complex customer relationships across commercial, quality, and engineering functions. Demonstrated success structuring and negotiating large, multi-year supply or development agreements is also highly valued.
