Join Our Growing Team as a Senior Staff Accountant! Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a highly motivated Senior Staff Accountant with 4-6 years of experience to join our team and contribute to our financial growth. If you are a detail-oriented accounting professional with a passion for accuracy and efficiency, we want to hear from you! Must live local / commutable to Stamford, CT Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office Your Impact
Tax Management:
Manage and track sales and use tax, property taxes, and real estate taxes. Income Tax Collaboration:
Work in conjunction to manage and file income taxes. Deposit Tracking:
Manage the tracking and proper coding of non-AR related deposits. Fixed Asset Management:
Review and maintain fixed asset ledger and subledger and calculate depreciation. Lease Management:
Review and maintain operating lease schedules under ASC 842. Reconciliation & Resolution:
Track and follow-up on discrepancies and reconciling items until resolved. Journal Entries & Account Reconciliations:
Record journal entries and perform monthly account reconciliations. Process Improvement:
Drive accounting process improvements. Schedule
Full-time 3-day hybrid schedule out of the Stamford, CT office. Qualifications/Requirements
4-6 years of public/corporate accounting experience, preferably in healthcare. Master's degree in Accounting required. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivots, index match, macros, etc.). Knowledge of GAAP standards. Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn and problem-solving skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with limited direction in an entrepreneurial environment. Ability to work with strict deadlines with urgency. Bonus Points
CPA certification. Knowledge of Sage Intact accounting system. Previous experience working with acquisitions. Perks & Benefits
