PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact state (NH RN license)

Minimum 1 year of recent PACU nurse or acute care RN experience

Required certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

PACU RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality post-anesthesia nursing care to patients in the OSC - Prep & Recovery unit

Monitor and assess patient vital signs, responding to changes in condition promptly

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for safe and effective patient transitions

Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery expectations

Maintain accurate nursing documentation and uphold patient safety standards
