The Town of Natick is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Project Engineer
to join our Engineering Division. This position plays a key role in overseeing public and private infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with Town standards, and supporting engineering design and field work using modern software and survey technology. Key Responsibilities
Conduct field construction inspections on public and private utility and site development projects to ensure compliance with approved plans and Town of Natick standards. Operate and maintain the Engineering Division’s Geographic Information System (GIS) using ArcGIS; ensure data accuracy through traditional survey methods. Conduct technical investigations and prepare written reports as needed. Assist with permit issuance, perform related field inspections, and create record sketches and as-built plans. Respond to public inquiries and direct concerns to the appropriate departments or officials. Recommended Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is a plus. Minimum of Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in public works engineering and construction management, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in common office software, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and Zoom. Special Requirements
Valid Massachusetts driver's license (or ability to obtain one) required. Compensation and Benefits
Starting annual salary:
$77,329.65 (Step 1). The full pay scale ranges from $77,329.65 to $110,064.20, with step increases outlined in the Supervisors & Administrators' Association Local 272 union agreement. This full-time position includes a comprehensive benefits package, featuring health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as a defined contribution retirement plan. To Apply:
