Job Summary and Responsibilities We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated

CNA

to join our Med-Surg Tele 3S team. As a

CNA , you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, and assisting patients with activities of daily living. You will work closely with our team of nurses and physicians to ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients. This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.

Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).

Monitor patients for changes in condition and report findings to the RN.

Assist with ambulation and transfers.

Perform EKGs (if trained and certified).

Assist with wound care (under the direction of the RN).

Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.

Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.

Document care provided in the electronic health record (EHR).

Respond to call lights promptly and efficiently.

Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.

Job Requirements

Current AHA CPR certification (CT CPRBLS)

Current CNA Certification (CT NA)

High School education or equivalent

Successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant program.

Preferred Requirements:

Six (6) months of recent hospital experience as a CNA

Special Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing clearly, concisely, and accurately.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Ability to operate common office equipment, including computers.

Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
