Director, Global Inventory and Cost Accounting
Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding Revolutionaries in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway. The Opportunity: Revolution Medicines is seeking a Director, Global Inventory and Cost Accounting, to join our growing Finance team. The Director, Global Inventory and Cost Accounting will be responsible for leading the global inventory and cost accounting discipline, with accountability for ensuring financial integrity and scalability that supports global growth and commercialization. This role reports to the VP, Finance. Responsibilities
Architect and champion, the design and execution of global product financial flows, setting strategic direction for cost accounting methodology, inventory valuation, consolidation eliminations, and technical accounting policies that drive enterprise-wide financial integrity. Take accountability for driving long-term scalability through ERP and financial system design and governance frameworks, shaping and scaling inventory and costing systems to support rapid organizational growth, overseeing system assessment, implementation, and continuous improvement. Establish and maintain a global governance framework for inventory and costing, including accounting policies, operational processes, and internal controls, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and accounting, SEC and SOX requirements. Provide oversight of inventory and cost activity, driving accuracy, transparency, and compliance while proactively anticipating risks and orchestrating cross-functional resolution strategies. Own all relevant aspects of the period-end financial close process, including working closely with supply chain and operations teams to deliver timely, accurate results and robust reporting, including provisions for excess, obsolescence and shrinkage. Partner with Tax and international finance leaders to ensure global consistency of transfer pricing, indirect tax strategies, and adherence to corporate financial policies, supporting long-term tax efficiency and compliance. Serve as a key partner with internal stakeholders in areas including, but not limited to, Financial Planning & Analysis, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and other technical operations teams, influencing key decisions that optimize working capital and cost efficiency. Engage in enterprise-level S&OP discussions, ensuring financial considerations are embedded in supply and demand planning and shaping cross-functional trade-off decisions. Establish senior leader-level influence, providing insights into VP Finance and senior leadership to shape corporate decisions. Prepare ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis, as well as special projects as needed. Build and nurture strong cross-functional relationships, fostering collaboration and alignment across global finance, operations, and business teams. Hire, coach, and mentor direct reports and adjacent team members as they continue to develop professional and interpersonal skills. Required Skills, Experience and Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or CMA is highly desirable. A minimum of 13+ years of relevant experience and 6+ years leadership. Experience designing and improving accounting processes and workflows in a public company setting. Experience leading end-to-end inventory and cost accounting enterprise-wide ERP module implementations. Experience with commercial product launch and global expansion preferred. Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail and accuracy. Strong collaboration skills to work cross-functionally.
