Chief Medical Officer of Enterprise Practice Ops at HCA Healthcare. This role is a senior leadership position within the Clinical Services Group executive team, reporting to the President of Practice Operations. The CMO will lead clinical quality initiatives, payer programs, government program compliance, and clinical informatics across ambulatory physician services nationwide. Position Summary

The HCA Healthcare Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Enterprise Practice Operations provides strategic direction and management for provider quality initiatives, outcomes, payer initiatives, and clinical informatics. The CMO supervises a team of subject matter experts in quality, clinical informatics, pharmacy, clinical supply chain, care coordination, and payer initiatives. Direct reports include the VP of Ambulatory Clinical Quality and the AVP of Ambulatory Pharmacy and Clinical Supply Chain. The role drives clinical workflow optimization, health information system alignment, and physician engagement across practice locations nationally. Major Responsibilities

Lead and guide teams to achieve strategic and tactical goals in informatics, data, quality, risk, regulatory, value-based care, and health data creation and aggregation. Provide direct leadership and day-to-day management of the Implementations and Optimization teams within Physician Services. Drive increased physician use of information and tools to support integrated care delivery. Evaluate products and services with major clinical impact, including selection and implementation of clinical applications and products. Align the HIT strategy with operational goals through partnerships with operations and finance. Understand the social, political, and economic influences affecting healthcare programs and develop strategies accordingly. Coordinate with HCA Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety leadership to align resources and priorities. Support the mission, vision, and values of CSG and HCA Healthcare with a focus on quality and customer service. Serve as a physician consultant for operational issues related to informatics, data, quality, provider outcomes, delegated credentialing, and new medical technologies in the ambulatory space. Provide guidance to Physician Services lines of business including Urgent Care, IRL, and Graduate Medical Education, while advising on HIT, quality and risk with corporate guidance. Demonstrate adherence to HCA Healthcare Code of Conduct, mission, and values. Other duties as assigned with moderate travel as needed. Education & Experience

Doctoral Degree in Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine; active, unrestricted medical license required. Minimum of five years’ experience as a Chief Medical Officer or similar clinical leadership role within a large multi-site healthcare system with ambulatory management. Formal management experience in Quality, Risk, Safety, Supply Chain and Clinical Informatics in a large health system preferred. Minimum of 10 years clinical experience with direct patient care required. Minimum 5 years management experience leading clinical and non-clinical teams on projects with budgetary, clinical, and regulatory constraints required. Exemplary medical practice history with peers’ attestations and liability history; minimum ten years clinical practice required.
