Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA Salary: $200k — $230k Equity A pioneering biotech startup is seeking an Embedded Systems Manager to help bring a next-gen wearable health monitoring device to life. You will be leading a team designing firmware & electronics hardware for a novel device with industry leading potential. Key Responsibilities
Lead embedded SW development for a low-power wearable platform Design and prototype microcontroller-based systems (ARM Cortex, Nordic, STM32) Enable seamless sensor integration & data acquisition Implement real-time wireless communication (BLE/Bluetooth) Debug and tune embedded hardware for accuracy & reliability Collaborate across disciplines: HW/SW/Biology Create technical documentation and test protocols Key Skills/Experience
Strong command of C/C (firmware) Python (validation/data analysis) Microcontrollers & Peripheral drivers Wireless technologies (BLE, Wi-Fi etc.) Hands-on with lab tools: oscilloscopes, debuggers, test benches Ability to work in agile, fast-moving environments Proven experience in team leadership & project management Experience with either Wearables/Biosensing/Medical device design Bonus Skills/Nice to have’s
PCB design & prototyping Analog sensor interface experience Familiarity with medical device standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304) Benefits
