In this pivotal role, you’ll serve as a strategic conductor, guiding leaders through complex employee and labor relations while keeping our workforce on track for success. As a trusted partner, you’ll provide hands-on support to executives, managers, and frontline supervisors, helping them navigate challenges, apply HR best practices, and make informed decisions that strengthen both individual growth and organizational success. As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will: Provide support and advise Utah Transit Authority (UTA) client groups on complex and strategic employee and labor issues and help them manage employee/labor relations. Assist executives, managers, and supervisors in applying and interpreting human resource (HR) policies, procedures, collective bargaining agreement (CBA), federal and state employment law. Be involved in talent selection, development, and deployment for client groups. Develop and teach leaders. Advise management regarding organizational design, position development, and job evaluations. Assist in creating/updating job descriptions to document changing relationships, roles, and duties in the company. Administer the corporate staffing plan and position control; assist managers in modeling labor needs with the business. Coordinate and update employee data with human resources information systems (HRIS). Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Five (5) years of human resources work experience in supporting client groups within an organization. Experience must include employee relations, talent management, compensation, learning and development, and change management. Experience with unions and labor relations preferred. Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, or related field. PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred. Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. UTA reserves the right to determine the equivalencies of education and experience. Pay Range:

$90,900.00 annually or more depending on experience.
