Overview
The Senior Data Scientist will lead advanced analytics initiatives to support federal IT modernization efforts. This role involves designing and implementing machine learning models, conducting statistical analysis, and translating complex data into actionable insights for mission-critical decision-making. Responsibilities
Lead the development of predictive models and data-driven solutions. Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and objectives. Communicate findings through visualizations, dashboards, and reports. Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with federal standards. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and federal stakeholders to define analytics goals, data requirements, and success metrics. Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning models (using specified platforms) to address complex business and operational challenges across federal programs. Oversee and guide junior data analysts, ensuring alignment with project goals and best practices. Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and support evidence-based decision-making. Create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ensure data governance, privacy, and compliance with federal standards, including FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST frameworks. Requirements
Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in data science or analytics roles. Proven experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and data mining. Strong understanding of federal data governance and security requirements. US Citizenship Required. The employee may support federal programs under contract. Contract compliance activities, including scope of work, deliverables, and reporting on contract management activities to Company leadership is required. Ability to clearly articulate and provide technical guidance and assistance to senior agency program managers in the application of the advanced principles, practices and techniques of a specialized field of engineering/science. Teleworking
The company has a hybrid remote policy for all employees and is dependent upon the type of position. This position may be assigned to support a federal contract, or to work in office. The Company’s teleworking eligibility may not apply if the employee is supporting a federal services contract.
