Director, Software Engineering (Java 8, Kafka, AWS) Prestigious company seeking a Director, Software Engineering to lead a team focused on building event-driven solutions. Requires experience with Java 8, AWS, Kafka, multi-threading, and related technologies.

Build and manage a team of skilled software developers. Collaborate with others to deliver complex projects across multiple systems. Manage a distributed development team, coordinate with vendors, and drive delivery. Develop solutions to complex technical challenges, including coding, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and documentation. Lead efforts to optimize application performance and resilience through analysis, refactoring, and system tuning. Recommend architectural changes and new technologies/tools to improve efficiency and quality of systems and processes. Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or a related technical field; MS preferred. 8-10 years of experience in building large-scale, compute and event-driven solutions; Java 8+ experience. 8+ years of experience with Object Oriented Design, advanced patterns, and multi-threading. Experience with distributed message brokers (e.g., Kafka, Amazon Kinesis). Working knowledge of DevOps tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm). Experience with cloud technologies and migrations; AWS foundational services (VPC, Security Groups, EC2, RDS, S3, KMS, IAM, etc.). Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Citrus desirable). Experience with relational, NoSQL, object-based, and graph databases. Git workflows experience required. Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, AppDynamics) is a plus. Employment Details
