The role you will contribute:
The Executive Director of Strategy
is responsible for developing and leading comprehensive methods to direct the execution of multiple and interrelated programs and top initiatives required to achieve the strategic vision for AdventHealth Florida. This critical role is accountable for statewide program oversight, prioritized escalation, timeline visibility, and knowledge transfer. Collaborates with executives and leaders across all corporate functions and operational divisions to facilitate, coordinate, and implement the portfolio of strategic initiatives prioritized by the CEO, Corporate Cabinet, Florida Cabinet, and senior executives. Programs and initiatives may include but are not limited to, market and volume growth strategies, financial savings targets, large-scale transformations, technical implementations, and mission integration and fulfillment. This individual must have the mental agility to be both a strategic thinker and a tactical leader, capable of understanding and communicating the alignment of initiatives to the Vision and project objectives, value propositions, and resource requirements.

Manages agendas by collecting, prioritizing, and completing follow-up activities related to agenda items by coordinating with senior executives and other leaders.
Researches and obtains relevant market, demographic, geographic, regulatory, and industry data to develop assessments of external business and market factors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Manages correspondence on behalf of the CEO, dealing with issues requiring sensitivity, discretion, judgment, or negotiation.
Develops communication strategies for major initiatives and serves as a conduit of information from the CEO's office to senior leaders and departments.
Develops, recommends, and coordinates long-range plans and strategies to create a mission-focused environment that achieves business growth through expansion of products and market share.
Provides program leadership on behalf of the CEO, working closely with executive sponsors and project teams on strategic initiatives.
Leads project teams for new or emerging initiatives, developing proposals to meet CEO expectations and standards.
Provides direct leadership oversight of the strategy and operations team to ensure the execution of multiple and interrelated programs and top initiatives.
Drives the development of strategic initiatives by structuring complex issues into phased workstreams and deliverables.
Develops and presents comprehensive and strategic business value propositions and plans to support identified strategic initiatives.
Aligns with the CEO in the development, management, and execution of critical projects and touchpoints with entities, budget preparation, and ongoing tracking.
Serves as an active business partner with the team of executives reporting to the CEO in executing the CEOs agenda and strategy.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Bachelor's in business, healthcare or related field [Required]
10 years of business experience in such areas as hospital administration, strategic planning, business, operational, and financial planning [Required]
5 years of management/leadership experience. [Required]
Strong commitment to AH mission and ethics
Ability to lead and manage strategy and operations team members
Exceptional leadership and people management skills, including decision-making, team-building, motivation, and conflict resolution
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals
Ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams across department lines and work effectively with diverse populations
Advanced ability to interact with and influence senior management
Ability to create and drive strategy and direction.
Strong working knowledge of health care operations and systems.
Utilize strategic frameworks and key insights to logically and concisely present information
Ability to work independently to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external parties, including executives, employees and consumers.
Excellent judgment, analytical and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of executives, employees and other contacts, while appropriately and discreetly handling confidential information.
Ability to identify and respond to issues and risks, own and provide expedient follow through to action or resolution as applicable, and communicate appropriately.
Strong understanding/knowledge of change management and/or organizational behavior theory/experience
Working knowledge of performance improvement methodologies such as Total Quality Management, Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), Six Sigma, or Lean Thinking
Preferred Qualifications: Master's in Health Care Administration / Master of Business Administration or related field
Strong understanding/knowledge of change management and/or organizational behavior theory/experience
Working knowledge of performance improvement methodologies such as Total Quality Management, Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), Six Sigma, or Lean Thinking
