The WatchOS QA team is seeking a QA Engineer to help us ensure that our Watch experience is rock-solid and customer-focused. We are looking for critical thinkers who would like to play a key role qualifying Watch Faces and Complications and the frameworks that support them. We practice nimble, fast-paced development that relies heavily on a tight relationship between Engineering and QA. In this position you will be self-motivated with strong technical and interpersonal skills. Day-to-day tasks will involve functional testing of iOS and watchOS applications, with a focus on watch faces and complications, sometimes across concurrent release vectors. Your responsibilities will include design and implementation of test plans and test cases, risk analysis, cross-functional testing coordination, and integration testing across the system. Ensure the quality of unreleased software by planning, designing, and executing tests to identify issues in a timely manner, escalating issues to management, and ensuring the software quality meets Apple\'s standards. Reviewing requirements. Developing test plans and test cases. Completing various types of testing (functional, regression, performance). Documenting and tracking issues, collaborating with development teams, and monitoring quality metrics throughout the product development lifecycle. Minimum Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or equivalent recent on-the-job experience in Software QA. Preferred Qualifications
Passionate about Quality Assurance, Watch Faces, and Complications. Enthusiasm for customer-focused design and high-quality technology. Experience debugging difficult problems and driving results with multi-functional teams. Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail. Proven experience in Software Quality Assurance creating test plans for new products and features. Adaptable in a dynamic and informal atmosphere. Excellent communication skills due to high interaction with engineering teams, management, and other organizations within Apple. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $112,500 and $231,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary stock programs, may purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and receive benefits including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounts on products and services, and reimbursement for certain education expenses, among others.
