Vice President of Finance Industry:

Overview A rapidly growing industrial services organization is seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Finance to lead financial planning and analysis across multiple operating companies. This newly created role will support continued expansion through acquisition and play a key part in building out the finance function in Raleigh. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of FP&A and accounting experience, strong leadership capabilities, and a builder mindset to help scale systems, processes, and teams.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, cash and expense management, and consolidated financial statements
Ensure timely and accurate GAAP-compliant financial reporting and audit readiness
Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes; analyze P&L performance and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership
Develop and implement financial controls and processes to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with financial regulations
Mentor and lead a growing finance team, including offshore AP/AR support
Drive financial due diligence and integration of newly acquired businesses
Standardize financial processes across operating companies to support aggressive growth goals
Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to improve efficiency and profitability
Qualifications
8+ years of progressive finance experience in service-based or related industries
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; MBA or Master’s preferred
CPA preferred
Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct or NetSuite
Proven success managing finance operations across multiple geographies or entities
Strong understanding of both FP&A and accounting operations
Background in M&A due diligence and integration, including purchase accounting
High emotional intelligence and collaborative leadership style
Ability to travel to the Raleigh office 1–2 days per week and to operating sites 1–2 times per month
