Our client, a high-growth AI company building advanced conversational AI agents for enterprises (with over $231 million in funding and clients like Duolingo and Notion), is seeking a
Staff Data Scientist . This role demands deep technical rigor to analyze, test, and apply data across the business. You'll blend
advanced analytical expertise with product acumen
to influence strategic decisions at the highest levels, being the primary driver of the experimentation culture. What You'll Do
Conduct deep-dive analyses
using advanced statistical methods on user behavior, product performance, and business outcomes to surface actionable insights. Design, implement, and rigorously analyze controlled A/B test experiments
to measure product changes and drive the experimentation culture across the company. Evaluate and interpret the performance of ML models
(e.g., classification, recommendation, LLM-based systems), reasoning through trade-offs and business implications of model-driven decisions. Enhance and extend Decagon’s data models, metrics, and dashboards
to ensure consistent, scalable reporting. Build and continuously improve the data stack , ensuring scalable pipelines and tools that empower self-serve analytics. Communicate findings clearly and persuasively
to executives and cross-functional stakeholders, directly influencing strategic decision-making. 5+ years
of experience (or equivalent) in data science or product analytics roles, ideally within high-scale consumer or marketplace products. Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python , with a solid foundation in statistics and experimental design. Strong ability to
structure ambiguous problems
and translate them into analytical approaches that deliver business impact. Proven track record of designing, running, and analyzing experiments at scale. Ability to
reason about and analyze machine learning models , understanding their assumptions and product impact. Salary:
$250K - $300K Equity:
