Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule Candidates must be available to work through the holiday season and begin on Tuesday or Thursday for full shifts. Weekend shifts are required.
Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, specifically focusing on adult and geriatric residents in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting. The RN will demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles and will possess the ability to assess and interpret data reflective of each patient‘s status.
Responsibilities
Collect data relevant to residents‘ physical and psychosocial conditions on an ongoing basis.
Communicate findings to supervisors and interdisciplinary team members.
Contribute to and revise developmentally appropriate care plans involving residents and their families.
Ensure customer satisfaction by collaborating effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
Maintain current knowledge and competency in nursing practice through continuing education and in-service programs.
Participate in mentoring and orientation of nursing staff.
Provide leadership within the professional practice setting under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
New York State Registered Nurse License
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA
Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN in a Long-Term Care facility
