Security Officer (Armed) with Security Clearance

Position under the direct supervision of the Manager for assigned high profile site. Performs a variety of security-related duties to observe and report activities and incidents, ensuring the security and safety of client property, visitors, and personnel. As an armed officer, you may respond to emergencies with escalation of force up to armed response as dictated by the situation and protocol. You may assist in preserving order, enforce site regulations, control access, and monitor entrances and exits to prevent unapproved or unlawful entry. Some assignments may involve foot or vehicle patrols, inspecting for hazards or security violations, and preserving evidence or scenes of incident for investigations.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned locations; provide security for client property, visitors, and personnel.
• Respond to unusual or emergency situations using appropriate escalation of force up to armed response, following site protocol and training.
• Control access to the client site or facility through the admittance process; assist and screen visitors and client employees to expedite entry; monitor entrances and exits and vehicle movement; operate gates and remote access devices; manage CCTV and other access controls.
• PATROL: walk or drive as assigned; check for hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, and restricted areas; protect evidence or scenes of incidents; report and log observations.
• Maintain a professional, courteous image and interactions with client employees and visitors; provide information as authorized about the site and surroundings.
• Prepare logs or reports; review security control logs and take required actions.
• Respond to incidents (fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, inclement weather, hazardous materials, etc.) following site procedures and training.

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship (preferred).
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum of two (2) years of Armed Security / Law Enforcement experience or two (2) years of honorable service with the U.S. Armed Forces.
• Must meet company background checks, reference checks, and may require drug testing, medical requirements, and licensing as applicable by assignment.
• Must meet state, county, and municipal licensing and permit requirements for armed security; maintain required certifications (e.g., Basic Life Support CPR/AED and First Aid) as specified.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures; ability to see, hear, speak, and write clearly; ability to write routine logs and reports; ability to follow written and oral instructions; ability to work as part of a team; maintain composure in challenging situations.

Working Conditions

Requires physical and mental capacity to perform essential functions, including dealing with urgency and stress; may carry firearms and wear protective gear; may work overtime without prior notice; long periods of sitting, standing, and walking, potentially up to 12 hours per day; occasional lifting up to 40 pounds; may work in varied environments and under inclement weather.
