*Open Position: Professional Land Surveyor*
APS Survey & Mapping, Inc. (APS) is a well-established Woman-Owned Small Business, founded in 1999, looking to hire a Professional Land Surveyor registered in Washington. Additional registration in Oregon, Idaho, and/or Montana is a plus. APS has offices located in Bellevue and Roslyn, Washington; however, some of our team members work remotely for efficiency and convenience. The professional land surveying products APS regularly produce include boundary surveys, cadastral surveys, topographic surveys, hydrographic and topobathy surveys, ALTA surveys, site plans, right-of-way surveys, utility surveys, route surveys, monitoring and deformation surveys, tunnel surveys, legal descriptions and exhibits, boundary line adjustments and parcel combinations, subdivisions, construction staking, and as-built surveys for both the public and private sector. APS holds on-call contracts with multiple federal, state, county, and city government agencies, private and public utility and transportation districts and companies, tribes, and port authorities. We have earned these contracts perpetually for over twenty years and have strong professional relationships with their Project Managers and Contract Officers. We maintain healthy relationships with multiple subcontractors, including Subsurface Utility Engineers, Civil Engineers, Geotechnical Engineers, Archaeologists, Architects, and Builders throughout the Northwestern United States. This enables us to provide professional services as a team on multimillion-dollar government projects just as seamlessly as our smallest homeowner projects.
*The position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:*
* Parcel, historical survey, and title research * Proposal and bid preparation * Consistent client communication * Boundary and construction calculations * Autodesk Civil 3D drafting * Coordination with subcontractors, office personnel, and field crew members * Prepare legal descriptions * Project management * Adhere to and participate in updating drafting and data collection standards * Assist with the setup, operation, maintenance, and calibration of survey equipment * Work cooperatively with others, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all contacts * Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing * Remain current with all PLS license requirements
*Candidate minimum requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:*
5 years of experience with:
* Professional Land Surveyor License in Washington * Autodesk Civil 3D * Managing survey projects, survey technicians, and field crews
