Position Summary Morehouse School of Medicine’s (MSM) Institute of Translational Genomic Medicine is seeking a Data Analyst to oversee the formulation and preparation of official institutional information for internal and external parties. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum of three (3) years of data science experience, including working with large and complex datasets, data modeling, data analysis, data mining, reporting, and visualization methods. At least three (3) years of query-writing experience with MS SQL Server. Experience managing and conceptualizing relational databases. Experience with Data Warehouse creation and maintenance. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI. Expertise in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel. Preferred Qualifications Experience as a Data Analyst in higher education. Job Responsibilities Formulate and prepare official institutional data to respond to internal and external queries on topics like university information, student demographics, faculty details, employment, benefits, financial data, and projections. Prepare analytical study results tailored for diverse audiences. Assist in data collection and participate in national surveys. Support the development and implementation of enrollment management and accreditation processes, integrating findings into institutional planning. Utilize longitudinal databases and information warehouses for reporting purposes. Assist in preparing research reports for various formats and distributions. Document projects and processes. Coordinate with staff and provide technical assistance as needed. Support other departments in conducting surveys, analyzing data, and presenting results.
