Location: Vancouver & Sunnyside, WA JOB SUMMARY

Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare labor & material estimates for structural steel products, projects, or services and provides support to the estimating manager and salesman. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Prepares Itemized lists by reviewing data to determine material and labor requirements. Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness. Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Prepares scope of work along with all exclusions, clarifications and conditions. Lists all bid documents with dates used in preparation of estimate. Conducts special studies to develop and establish standard house and related cost data or effect cost reductions. Perform other job duties as assigned by supervisor. REQUIREMENTS

Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Experience may substitute for education. One (1) year related experience. Working knowledge of engineering and design concepts in the structural steel, and misc. metals industry. PC skills to include the following software: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and EPM/Tekla, FabTrol, Fabsuite, or Strumis for Structural Steel Estimating. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regularly required to sit, occasionally stands and walks, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to talk or hear. Seldom lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT

General office and constant exposure to computer display. Occasional interaction with production employees in the fabrication facility. SAFETY
