Senior Hardware/Software Quality Engineer Join Oracle as a Senior Hardware/Software Quality Engineer. The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Hardware Development team designs and builds mission-critical, ultra-high-performance, integrated compute and storage systems with sophisticated embedded software and advanced management services. We are seeking a seasoned Quality Engineer with exceptional expertise in test automation utilizing Python. You will be an integral part of a team that spearheads the development of innovative testing methodologies to validate the robustness of our platforms. As a member of the OCI Oracle Hardware Development team, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Responsibilities Collaborate closely with the Quality Engineering team to design, develop, and maintain automated test cases and test suites. Regularly maintain and update existing test cases and suites to accommodate platform enhancements and changes. Stay up-to-date with changes in technology and hardware to create effective test cases. Execute test suites on platforms under test, analyze test failures, identify and report code and platform bugs, and update tests accordingly. Release cycles are short; the ideal candidate must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment where rapid turnaround is crucial to success. Skills Required and Preferred Required: Experience with either rack servers, compute storage, PCIe devices, and lab networking. Required: Experience with Linux or Linux System Administration. Required: Proven experience in developing automated tests using Python. Preferred: In-depth understanding of various Quality Assurance testing methodologies, including functional and regression testing. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively report and drive bug resolution to closure. Experience working with distributed teams across multiple geographies and groups.
