Overview Cloud Cybersecurity Architect role at Nouryon. We are looking for team members who bring ideas forward, champion others and work together to do better. In your future role you will support cyber security initiatives to protect Nouryon through secure configuration and maintenance of cybersecurity tools. Responsibilities Design and implement secure enterprise architecture solutions that align with company cybersecurity and IT standards Evaluate proposed solutions to ensure alignment with security framework; recommend improvements as needed Communicate security concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Oversee the ongoing management of the Enterprise Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) solution, ensuring robust security measures are in place to protect cloud-native applications and infrastructure Contribute to the delivery of cybersecurity technical requirements for all projects at business and IT levels Stay up to date on emerging threats, technologies and industry best practices Additional Risk & Security Processes Risk analysis – Identify and analyze cyber security risks, stakeholders and linkages to other activities and define required risk remediation activities Remediation execution – Coordinate, monitor and execute remediation activities to mitigate cybersecurity risk and report to leadership Relations Management – Build, maintain and utilize a network of internal and external stakeholders/partners Technical expertise – Be a Subject Matter Expert on cybersecurity tooling, help deploy technology to enforce technical security requirements, standards, and procedures Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field or relevant experience Cybersecurity certifications such as AZ-500, AWS Security Specialty, SC-100, GICSP, GIAC, or GRID are a plus Certifications in vendor Cybersecurity Platforms are a plus 7-10+ years of overall experience, including 2-5 years in a cybersecurity architecture-related role Strong experience in cloud security (Azure), containers, Identity & Access Management, infrastructure architecture, and zero trust frameworks Proven ability to analyze architectural risk, perform threat profiling, and apply compensating controls in complex business scenarios Proven experience in managing CNAPP Solutions Familiarity with regulatory environments; experience in Chemical Manufacturing or Oil & Gas Deep understanding of security controls and how to apply them through technology, configuration, and architectural design Ability to assess gaps in ideal-state architecture and propose acceptable risk-based solutions Broad technical knowledge with depth to understand a range of security technologies and platforms Great if you have Leadership skills and presence in the room Strong strategic and tactical skills with ability to execute and follow through Ability to drive continuous improvement of processes, policies, standards Collaborative mindset to ensure unified messaging across the engineering community Excellent interpersonal skills, influencing, entrepreneurship, problem solving Structured and analytical thinking Good communication and presentation skills in English Open to innovation, change and flexible work environment Able to impart knowledge and learn quickly Team player capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment Fluent in English, both verbal and written Additional This is a permanent full-time position, reporting to the Sr. Director, Cybersecurity Operations & Deputy CISO located in Houston, TX.
