Summary of Position St. Michael’s Preparatory School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Head Lacrosse Coach to lead our high school girls’' lacrosse program. This is a stipend-paid, seasonal position ideal for individuals committed to mentoring student-athletes through sport, character development, and teamwork. This position is a part-time staff position beginning in Winter 2025. This position will report to the Director of Athletics. The coach will work seasonally as needed for the sport assigned. Job Details Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Plan, organize, and execute practices that are inclusive, instructional, and engaging for players of all skill levels.

Foster a positive, supportive team culture that prioritizes sportsmanship, discipline, effort, and enjoyment of the game.

Create an environment that encourages student-athletes to learn and grow while supporting their participation in multiple sports and extracurricular activities.

Promote the value of teamwork, accountability, and leadership both on and off the field.

Work collaboratively with athletic department staff, assistant coaches, and school administration.

Manage game-day operations, including roster management, strategy development, and communication with officials and opposing teams.

Serve as a role model for students, demonstrating integrity, enthusiasm, and respect. Required Experience, Degree, and Skills Prior coaching or playing experience in lacrosse (high school, club, or collegiate level).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to connect with and motivate student-athletes across varying experience levels.

Understanding and appreciation of the demands and benefits of multisport participation.

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
