Position Overview: The Extended Care Program Monitor will work directly with a group of 30+ students grade K to 5. to design, coordinate and deliver our school’s after-school program. The Extended Care Program provides a safe, fun and caring environment for our students and acts as an extension of the school day. Schedule: The position available during the school year is for approximately 30 hours per week
Lunch: 11:00 - 1:00 Recesses: 1:30p - 2:30p After-school: 3:00 - 6:00
The monitor will be working full time during our week long school breaks:
October 7th – 11th February 17th – 21st April 4th – 11th
Key responsibilities: Active supervision of children indoor and outdoor Plan activities (sports, arts and crafts…) with co-workers Communication with parents and staff Oversee schedules, arrival / dismissal of students Resolve any conflicts by implementing social emotional learning Set up, take down and clean up to ensure overall cleanliness of space Qualifications: Enthusiastic, fast learner, proactive Team-worker with strong communication skills Experience working and developing age appropriate activities with children ages 5-10 preferred but not required Fluency in French is a plus but not required Eligible to work in the US We offer $25/hr and a dynamic work environment. Live scan background and TB clearance required. Must be eligible to work in the US. Seniority level
