About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer - ISSE to provide advanced technical support in securing information systems within IT and Operational Technology environments. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with DoD cybersecurity standards, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage risk and compliance across complex systems. This role offers the opportunity to work onsite at Fort Belvoir, VA, supporting critical defense initiatives with a focus on secure system design and implementation.
Job Responsibilities
Perform routine and specialized cybersecurity project tasks to support initiatives. Integrate electronic processes and methodologies to resolve system-level cybersecurity issues. Analyze information security requirements to ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Apply analytical and systematic approaches to resolve workflow and planning challenges. Provide cybersecurity engineering support throughout the system development lifecycle. Support demonstration, deployment, and implementation of secure information systems. Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks across IT and OT environments. Maintain familiarity with key DoD/NIST OT and cybersecurity standards and issuances. Collaborate with DLA and other government stakeholders effectively. Manage official communications using government-issued devices. Required Skills

Job Requirements
Minimum 10 years of relevant IT experience with at least 5 years in Operational Technology (OT). Possession of DoD 8570/8140 Baseline Certifications: IAM Level III, IAT Level III, and IASAE Level III (or ability to obtain IASAE Level III within 6 months). Certification in one of the following Computing Environment (CE) certifications: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate/Expert, Cisco Certified Network Administrator, Microsoft Azure Security Technologies, or Amazon Certified Security. Active DoD Secret clearance with Tier 3 Security Investigation minimum. Ability to travel regionally up to 25%. Strong knowledge of DoD/NIST cybersecurity frameworks including NIST 800-82, 800-53, and DoDI 8500.01/8510.01. Experience applying cybersecurity engineering principles throughout the system development lifecycle. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to cybersecurity challenges. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with government stakeholders and teams. Commitment to maintaining compliance with organizational and regulatory cybersecurity policies.
