Alice & Bob
Alice & Bob is hiring: Quantum Hardware & Physics Specialist in Bridgeport
Alice & Bob, Bridgeport, CT, US, 06610
Overview Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world’s hardest problems. The quantum computer we envision is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schrödinger cat qubit, which can implement quantum error correction autonomously. We are at the forefront of the quantum race, and we are growing fast after securing €100 million of funding in 2025. We are building a diverse team of physicists, PhD students, engineers and experienced professionals to reach our ambitious goals.
About The Role Alice & Bob is transitioning from a cutting-edge research lab to a product-focused quantum computing company. As part of this transformation, we’re creating Quantum HPC, a new team bridging technical expertise and customer engagement. We’re looking for a Quantum Hardware & Physics Specialist to join this team. You will play a key role in technical conversations with HPC centers, our natural early adopters, and help shape how our superconducting “cat qubits” are understood, integrated, and used.

Contribute to internal work on machine development in accordance with your expertise: experiments, theory, specifications, cryogenics, RF, hardware/software stack
Interact with customers as a scientific expert
Help align our internal tech development with real-world constraints and needs
Requirements PhD or MSc in quantum physics, superconducting circuits, or similar field, with 3 years of experience
Comfortable navigating between lab-level details and real-world applications
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with customer-facing roles (US and Europe).
Bonus: Familiarity with HPC environments, cryogenics, or RF systems
Curious, proactive, and eager to build something meaningful in the quantum space
Fluent in professional English & French, both written and spoken
Benefits Our success is your success: own it with our BSPCE plan
Turn your ideas into patents – and (competitive) patent bonuses
Healthcare: health, vision, dental insurance

This list is a guide, and we’d love to receive your application even if you’re only a partial match. We aim to build teams that innovate, not just tick boxes on a job spec. You will join one of the most innovative startups in France at an early stage, part of a passionate and friendly team on its mission to build the first universal quantum computer. We encourage sharing, learning, and growth.
