Job Summary:
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the Skyline/LXP Implementation for our clients HR organization. This project focuses on HR skills mapping, skills optimization, and career mapping, and follows a traditional waterfall methodology. The Project Manager will oversee scope, schedule, risk/issue management, and project dependencies, while rolling up sprints and objectives into reportable milestones.
Key Responsibilities: Support the Delivery Leader in driving collaboration, alignment, and integrated delivery for the project/initiative. Document project scope, timeline, resource plans, and stakeholder involvement. Identify and manage project risks and issues, escalating them in a timely manner. Ensure project tasks and deliverables stay on track and within budget. Manage project documentation and decisions in a timely manner, maintaining the project folder. Communicate and maintain project progress through regular meetings and status reports. Establish and manage project schedules considering deadlines, dependencies, resources, and costs. Ensure the project team has a common understanding of the project and that adequate resources are applied. Establish and maintain project documentation and stakeholder communications. Use Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, Planview, and Smartsheet for project tracking and reporting. Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement. Facilitate discussions to drive decision-making and information sharing. Proactively manage change control, communicate impacts in project scope, and devise contingency plans for identified risks/issues.
Required Qualifications: 6-8 years of IT project management experience with a strong background in creating project deliverables. Experience with LMS tools such as Cornerstone LMS or other LMS technologies. Proven experience in technical project management, including handling tight deadlines and managing technical and business teams. Strong executive-level presentation skills (written and verbal). Proven ability to manage project risks/issues and deadlines efficiently. Experience working in Waterfall methodologies and hybrid project execution environments. Ability to manage senior stakeholders and communicate at all levels of an organization. Experience working in matrix environments and managing competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with skills mapping and HR-related projects. Familiarity with hybrid project methodologies. Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, Planview, and Smartsheet. Experience in managing projects related to career optimization and HR skills development.
Standard Deliverables: Business Case and/or Project Charter. High-level Gantt chart including milestones and a detailed project work plan/schedule. Manage project entries in Planview, including schedule and resources. Stakeholder List. Communications Plan. Resource Schedule. Weekly Status Updates. Executive Updates (e.g., PowerPoints) as needed.
