Job Title: Electrician
Job Description
We are seeking four skilled electricians to undertake a repower project. The role involves reworking PV home runs, terminating PV connectors, replacing string inverters, and performing retrofit work in an AC combiner/disconnect switch cabinet. The scope of work includes removing existing string inverters, installing new ones, pulling above-ground conductors, and installing PV connectors on DC string wire.
Responsibilities

Rework PV home runs and terminate PV connectors.

Perform retrofit work in an AC combiner/disconnect switch cabinet.

Remove existing string inverters and install new ones.

Pull above-ground conductors and install PV connectors on DC string wire.
Essential Skills
-
Experience in installing and terminating PV connectors (MC4 and H4).

3+ years of solar electrical experience in the last 3 years.

Classification as an electrician in either the solar or non-solar industry.

OSHA 10 certification.

Willingness to perform labor and non-electrical related tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in electrical work, conduit installation, and wiring.

Ability to troubleshoot and understand blueprints and schematics.

Experience in industrial settings and pulling wire.

Skills in conduit bending, electrical wiring, and pipe bending.

Work Environment
The project is based in Chapel Hill, NC, and involves working outside at a solar site. The work environment is new construction, requiring 40 hours per week starting at 7 AM daily. Employees will take three breaks each day: in the morning, at lunch, and in the afternoon. Safety talks are held every morning before work begins. The dress code requires outdoor work clothing. A per diem allowance of $2,000 is provided.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
