By joining the Division of Forestry's Campbellsville Branch as an Administrative Specialist Senior in TaylorCounty, you will have the opportunity to provide administrative support to branch programs and projects;process the branch's cash receipts, bill payments, and purchase orders; maintain branch documentation,reports, and digital communications; and provide oversight for the administration of the branch's timereporting and operating budget. During your assigned duties, you will interact on a daily/weekly basis withboth personnel and management of the Hazard Branch, as well as personnel from the division's other branchesand program staff.

Holders of the Administrative Specialist Senior position will complete tasks such as: Administrative support of branch programs and projects. Processing payables, receivables, and travel vouchers. Maintaining documentation and various forms of branch communications. Oversee time reporting administration and budget. Desired candidates possess the following requisite skills or experience applicable to the position:

Ability to work independently. Effective communication, organization, and documentation skills. Proficient knowledge and use of information technology. Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
