Overview
Base pay range: $25.00/hr - $30.00/hr. Our client, a premium denim and contemporary ready-to-wear brand based in Los Angeles, is seeking an experienced Production Coordinator to join their team. This role is onsite 5 days a week and requires prior experience working with full package vendors overseas.
This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a solid understanding of apparel production processes and a passion for well-made product.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day flow of production across multiple categories including denim, knits, and wovens.
- Track all styles from development through final bulk delivery—ensuring deadlines are met for fittings, approvals, and factory dates.
- Issue and maintain purchase orders; monitor WIP reports to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Communicate daily with vendors, mills, and internal teams regarding time and action (T&A) calendars, sample status, and quality updates.
- Partner closely with Design, Product Development, and Technical Design teams to ensure all specs and construction details are accurate prior to production.
- Review and confirm lab dips, fabric approvals, trims, TOPs, and pre-production samples.
- Maintain accurate costing, yield, and production data in company systems (PLM, Excel, or ERP).
- Support quality control efforts, addressing any production issues promptly to minimize delays.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams on inbound shipments and delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- 3–4 years of apparel production experience, ideally within premium denim, lifestyle, or contemporary ready-to-wear categories.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrications, and production timelines.
- Experience communicating with overseas vendors and managing T&A calendars.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PLM systems (experience with Blue Cherry or similar preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive communicator with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Production, or a related field preferred.
Location
- Onsite, 5 days per week at the brand’s Los Angeles headquarters.
