**Job Title**Intramural Sports Coordinator**Agency**Prairie View A&M University**Department**Intramurals**Proposed Minimum Salary**$3,562.34 monthly**Job Location**Prairie View, Texas**Job Type**Staff**Job Description**The Intramural Sports Coordinator, under general supervision, oversees daily operations for the Intramural Sports Program.***This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.*****Responsibilities:*** Creates and implements Intramural Sports Program annual activity schedule, trains sports officials for basketball, flag football, soccer, volleyball, etc.* Manage coordinate, and schedule all Club Sports practices and home contest.* Recommends policies and procedures for Intramural and Club Sports and handle disciplinary actions involving the Intramural and Club Sports program, leads operations and develop & maintains program goals and objectives program objectives.* Assists in the development, implementation, and management of the Intramural Sports and Club Sport budget, assists in the promotion and supervision of current and future programs.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Required Education and Experience:*** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Three years of related experience in Intramural Sports programs.**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*** Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.* Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.* Strong verbal and written communication skills.**Required Registrations, Certifications, and Licenses:*** First Aid and CPR certified.**Other Requirements:*** Work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends.**Special Requirements:*** Applicants with equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree may be considered. One year of the related experience is the equivalent of one college year. Applicants being considered for the equivalency must have four years of related experience to meet the equivalency in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree plus the minimum required years of experience.
